While exact operations vary across different blow‑molding technologies, the overall workflow follows these key stages:
Plastic Melting & Parison Production
Plastic pellets are loaded into the extruder. Under controlled heating, the raw material melts and is extruded into a hollow tubular blank known as a parison.
Mold Closing
The parison gets enclosed within a two‑part mold, whose inner cavity defines the geometry of the end product.
Pressurized Air Blowing
Compressed air is introduced via a blow pin. This inflates the hot molten parison, forcing it to stretch and press firmly against the mold interior.
Cooling & Setting
The material cools within the closed mold until it solidifies and holds its intended form.
Part Demolding
Once cooling finishes, the mold opens. The finished component is then discharged, ready for trimming and other secondary finishing work as needed.
